Hi there,
I intended to buy some of the low cost oil, which is not specially made for bikes. You know, the oil that is made for cars. I thoght this would be no problem, because the Savage rarely does more than
5900 rpm. The dealer told me that it would not be fortunate to buy such an oil for a bike, because the clutch needs some additives that are not included in oil for cars. He also told me that the clutch would start to loose grip and this would be very expensive.
I cannot really believe this. As you know, dealers always want to make more profit. The oil for bikes would cost me another 20 DM (about 11 $) for 4 litres.
Can anybody of you tell experiences with low cost oil.
I would appreciate some answers soon. My oil is already 8 kkm in the engine.
Thanks a lot.
Bye, Dirk
